Hay Days 2020

The health and well-being of EUP communities is the top priority of the Hay Day’s team as we monitor the progression of COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2. Hay Days 2020 is less than 60 days away, and it has become evident that if the celebration is to take place, there will need to be changes made to protect the well-being of our region. It’s been determined that all in-person/close quarters events will be postponed for our 2020 celebration.

This decision was not made lightly. The team has been in contact with local medical officials, elected township officials, business owners, and event coordinators. We took into consideration the time and effort made by our volunteers, the impact this may have on local businesses’ revenue, and the family traditions that may be disrupted by our decision. In these unprecedented times, what is most important is to protect our small towns now, so we can come together in 2021 healthy and ready to celebrate.

Our volunteers are working diligently to develop safe, socially distant activities for families to participate in during Hay Days week, July 28 – August 2, 2020. More information on these activities will be announced mid-July.

The committee knows that the majority of the community will respect the decision made by our volunteers on behalf of the safety of our region. If you have any questions please direct them to our email, [email protected]
